Oh, hi!

I’m Sarah, a German illustrator and author/illustrator.I’ve always been drawn to stories, characters and imaginary worlds, and illustration became my way of bringing them to life. I work mainly in children’s publishing, creating illustrations for authors and publishers as well as developing picture books of my own.I love stories with heart, a little mischief and plenty of room for imagination. I’m particularly drawn to curious characters, the natural world and the small moments that can turn into something magical.Growing up by the Baltic Sea has definitely left its mark on my work. The coast, the ocean and its creatures have a habit of sneaking into my illustrations and stories.Alongside my picture books, I’m also writing stories for upper middle-grade readers, where I get to explore bigger adventures and more complex worlds.When I’m not drawing or writing, I’m probably somewhere with my family or have my head in someone else’s book.
